Kitchen Table
Cook safely, clean cheerfully, and serve generously.
About the Cooking Classes
Welcome to the Kitchen Table! In these classes, your child will learn essential kitchen skills such as how to follow a recipe, understand measurements, and cook with confidence.
The Kitchen Table offers two different formats: stand-alone Cooking Lessons and the ABCs of Cooking Course. Both options are designed for students in kindergarten through fourth grade.
Every lesson is tailored to your child’s skill level, providing the right balance of personalized attention and meaningful enrichment.
ABCs of Cooking Course pricing varies based on enrollment. ABCs of Cooking Course sessions are available Monday through Saturday during morning time slots from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM and afternoon time slots from 1:00 PM–4:00 PM. Stand-alone Cooking Lessons can be scheduled individually during the school year.
Life Skills and the Spirit of Hospitality
In the cooking lessons at Kellie’s Table, your child might encounter ingredients they do not normally enjoy. However, cooking is not just about what they want to eat — it is about the joy of hospitality.
Universal Life Skills
Learning techniques that students can use to prepare any food they choose in the future.
The Spirit of Hospitality
Understanding that cooking is an act of care for others.
Students will be encouraged to prepare meals with someone else’s enjoyment in mind. The goal is to move their motivation beyond, “I can’t wait to eat this,” and toward the fulfillment of saying, “I can’t wait to share this.”
Even if they do not love every ingredient, they are building lifelong skills to cook the foods they love. More importantly, they are discovering the joy of creating something with their own hands and learning that cooking is a gift we share with the people we care about.
